The project in short
A website development in Qatar project for The Guilt Free Company, a Doha brand selling gluten-free, refined-sugar-free meals and treats. One site now does two jobs: selling products through a cart, and selling 1–4 week meal plans through a short subscription form, in both English and Arabic.
What The Guilt Free Company needed
The Guilt Free Company is a lifestyle food brand based at The Pearl in Doha. Its tagline is "Super treat, Super taste, Super health." It makes gluten-free and refined-sugar-free meals and baked treats, with vegan, vegetarian and high-protein options.
The business sells in two very different ways, and the website had to handle both:
- One-off orders. A customer wants a box of treats or a few meals this week. That is a normal shop: products, prices in QAR, a cart.
- Meal-plan subscriptions. A gym-goer or a busy professional wants healthy meals delivered every day for one to four weeks. That is not a shop purchase. It needs a delivery address, a start, a length and a running total.
On top of that:
- Doha is bilingual. Many customers prefer Arabic, many prefer English. Both had to work properly, not as a machine-translated afterthought.
- Some customers want something custom. A plan built around a specific diet is a conversation, not a checkout. The site needed a quick path to a human.
- Businesses buy too. Cafés, gyms and offices want to stock the products, so there had to be a "Partner with us" route.
Why a normal shop template would not work#
Most off-the-shelf ecommerce themes assume every sale is "add to cart, pay, ship once". A meal plan breaks that model. Forcing a subscription into a product page leads to confused customers and wrong orders. We designed the two journeys separately so each one stays simple.
What food brands in Qatar need from a website#
Food is bought on a phone, often in a few spare minutes. Customers want to see the food, see the price in riyals, and order — in their own language. They do not want to create an account just to try a meal plan. Good website development in Qatar for a food brand means short forms, clear photos, Arabic that reads naturally, and a WhatsApp button for anything the form cannot handle. Those were the rules we designed against.
What we built
We built a bilingual site with two clear paths from the home page: All Products and Meal Plans.
Path 1: the shop#
- Product listings with photos and prices in Qatari riyals (QAR).
- Add to cart and a cart that keeps items while the customer keeps browsing.
- Categories so a vegan customer or a high-protein customer finds their products fast.
Path 2: meal plans#
Instead of squeezing plans into the cart, we built a short subscription form:
- Choose the plan.
- Pick a duration from 1 to 4 weeks.
- Enter name, phone and delivery address.
- See the total price update before submitting.
That is all. No account needed to place a plan. For a food business, every extra step loses orders.
Custom plans go to WhatsApp#
For customers who want something special, the "Start Building" button opens a WhatsApp chat with the team. In Qatar, WhatsApp is where people already talk to businesses, so we sent them there instead of to a long form.
Arabic and English#
An Arabic language toggle switches the whole site. Text direction, menus and content all change, so Arabic readers get a site that feels made for them.
Partners#
A "Partner with us" link gives cafés, gyms and offices a direct way to ask about stocking products.
Easy to update#
Products, prices, photos and plans are managed from an admin panel. Menus in food businesses change often; the team can update them the same day without a developer.
Decisions that mattered#
- Two journeys, not one. Keeping shop and subscription separate made both easier to use.
- WhatsApp for anything custom. A chat converts better than a form for personal requests.
- Price shown before submit. Customers see the total for their chosen weeks, so there are no surprises later.

How we can help you too
About this project
Can a website sell both products and meal-plan subscriptions?
Yes. The Guilt Free Company's site has a normal shop with a cart for one-off orders, and a separate meal-plan form where customers pick 1 to 4 weeks and see the total before they submit.
Do you build Arabic and English websites?
Yes. The site switches fully between English and Arabic, including right-to-left layout for Arabic. Several of our Qatar and Saudi client sites are bilingual.
Why send custom meal plans to WhatsApp?
Custom diets need a conversation. In Qatar most customers already message businesses on WhatsApp, so a direct chat is quicker and more personal than a long form.
