This product catalogue website was built for Oaktree Trading LLC, a Doha company that sells trailers and outdoor gear. Visitors browse two trailer lines, Venter and Karet, open a detail page for each of the nine models, watch a promo video and send an order enquiry straight to the sales team or WhatsApp.

The challenge

Oaktree Trading LLC was established in Qatar in 2022. It sells trailers and outdoor gear under the line "Premium Outdoor Gear and Trailers for Every Journey!" Its customers are a mix of individuals and businesses: campers heading into the desert, construction sites that need on-site units, event organisers and teams working in remote areas.

Trailers are a considered purchase. Nobody adds one to a cart on a whim. The brief therefore focused on helping buyers compare and then talk to sales:

  1. Show every model clearly. Oaktree carries two trailer lines — Venter (Elite, Super, Voyager and Savuti) and Karet (A31, A33, A34, A35 and A38). Buyers needed to see each model on its own page.
  2. Make comparison easy. A buyer choosing between a Venter Voyager and a Karet A35 should be able to move between them quickly.
  3. Show the product in use. Trailers sell better when people can see them working in real conditions.
  4. Lead to a conversation, not a checkout. Pricing, options and delivery are discussed with sales. The site's job is to start that conversation.
  5. Speak to both businesses and individuals, with testimonials from each.

Why not an online shop?#

A full ecommerce checkout would have added cost and complexity for a product that is almost always sold through a conversation. A clear catalogue with strong "Order Now" enquiries was the better fit.

What a product catalogue website should do#

A good product catalogue website works like a well-organised showroom. Every item has its own space, the important details are easy to see, and a salesperson is always one tap away. For a trading company with a defined range of models, that structure is easier to build, cheaper to keep running and clearer for buyers than a full online shop.

What we built

We built a fast, lightweight catalogue site focused on the products.

Structure#

  • Home — the tagline, a "What We Offer" section, a promo video, testimonials and an email subscribe box.
  • About — the company story since 2022.
  • Products — a dropdown menu listing both trailer lines and all nine models.
  • Contact — address in Zone 18, Doha, two phone numbers, two email addresses and WhatsApp.

One page per model#

Every trailer — Venter Elite, Super, Voyager and Savuti, and Karet A31, A33, A34, A35 and A38 — has its own "View Details" page. The Products dropdown lets buyers jump between models in one tap, which makes side-by-side comparison easy.

Real use, on video#

A promo video on the home page shows the trailers in action. For outdoor and off-road products, a short video does more than a long description.

"Order Now" starts a conversation#

Instead of a checkout, every "Order Now" button leads to the Contact page, and a WhatsApp chat link is always available. Sales can then discuss options, pricing and delivery directly.

Testimonials from both kinds of buyer#

The home page includes feedback from campers and from a construction-site rental client, so both individual and business buyers see someone like them.

Lightweight build#

The site is built as a fast static site with simple HTML pages. There is no database to maintain and pages load very quickly, which suits a catalogue that changes only when new models arrive.

Decisions that mattered#

  • Catalogue, not shop. Matches how trailers are actually sold.
  • A page for every model. Helps buyers compare, and helps each model appear in Google searches by name.
  • Video on the home page. Shows the product in real conditions.
  • WhatsApp always available. The fastest way for buyers in Qatar to reach sales.

When a catalogue website is the right choice#

If your products are high-value, need advice before purchase, or are priced per order, a product catalogue website with strong enquiry buttons is often better than an online shop. It costs less to build and run, and it sends serious buyers straight to your sales team.

Questions about this project

When is a catalogue website better than an online shop?
When products are high-value, need advice before buying, or are priced per order. A catalogue with clear enquiry buttons sends serious buyers to your sales team and costs less to build than a full shop.
Why give every product its own page?
It makes comparing models easy for buyers, and it lets each model appear in Google when someone searches for it by name.
Can a catalogue site be upgraded to a shop later?
Yes. If the business later wants online ordering, the catalogue can be moved onto an ecommerce system with the same structure.
